I agree with your opinion that classical music is very cool and good for knowledge development. I like hindi classical songs very much. hariharan is my favorite classical singer.

It depends on my mood... Sometimes I like it especially when I can relate to the music. And I used to listen classical music when I want to remember something like when your in childhood..

Some types of classical, like Mozart, are good for priming specific cognitive tasks, such as spatial reasoning and abstract thinking. Other than that, I'm not sure if the Baby Einstein really makes babies smarter, much of it might be marketing hype.
I like classical sometimes when I'm in the mood for low-key music.

I enjoy some classical music, usually when going to bed. I usually don't like to listen to it while I drive, because I might doze off lol. It is very relaxing to me.

I love classical music too. most often to go to bed. I do not usually like to listen while I drive because I could doze lol. Classical music is proven to stimulate both sides of your mind. I'm a choir member and I love to hear music from a guitar instrument. It is very relaxing for me.

Every time I'd hear about classical music, my grandparents would always come to my mind first. I'm not really a big fan of classical music, pop is my favorite. But, listening to it is not really bad. Whenever I'd visit my grandparents, they would always play classical music, so I get to listen to it as well. It's really refreshing to hear something new. And listening to classical music makes me feel relaxed and it feels like I'm in the old times. ^^

Classical music is making nice comeback. Some of its rising popularity may be due to the themes used on Japanese mangas and anime. There is centuries old method for teaching young musicians how to compose classical music. In fact many of great composers underwent exact same kinds of exercises and compositional procedures that are taught today. There has somewhat of erosion of these principals, most noticeably in Universities, however many schools of music and conservatories still preserve older traditions.

I agree with you. A lot of people also say babies are smarter when they listen to classical music. I think it's called "mozart effect," where the brain subconsciously finds patterns in classical music which helps to stimulate the development of the brain. Personally, I love listening to tracks by Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Debussy, Bach, and Chopin because they help calm my nerves.

Yes, I love classical music! I like the kind like Hooked on Classics - so far I've got the first 3 CD's and I'm still looking for a Hooked on Country type thing. I checked one out of the library & it wasn't any good.

I like classical music because I feel relaxed whenever I listen
