According to the article hardware is already at that level of a mouse/monkey. I really dont think it will be long before computer hardware can match brain power (and in theory this has been achieved already via parallel computing.)
However, regardless of computer hardware, the much more difficult question is about how to actually program these machines to think (like a human/animal.) Developing the theory and then realising it inside a computer is the real challange - if you can do that then you will be richer than you could imagine! _________________ bf6032 |

An interesting question. Well, in certain ways, I'm not sure if a computer will ever fully compensate for the human brain. But then again, I'm sure that in certain ways computers are far superior to the human brain already. _________________ Tai-Slim |
