We have all heard about the huge success that is the Facebook, over 50 million users and growing at a huge rate. They currently have more returning users each day then any other social networking site with over 40 million users worldwide and 12 million users returning daily, it is now 4th in the USA in terms of the amount of traffic, just in front of eBay and in the top 20 in the world.

Not only that but these Facebook users are older have more knowledge and more importantly more money than users on sites like Myspace and Bebo who’s main demographic is the 12-18 age range compared to the Facebook 18-30 age range.

Why am I going on about this you say? Well on May 27th, 2007 the Facebook platform was launched. It allows 3rd party applications to be created that can be plugged into the Facebook database and be used in Facebook member’s profiles. The unique factor which differentiates these applications to a normal RSS feed is that as users share and look at each others profiles, the application spreads through groups of friends; this process has been dubbed “the social graph”.

You have read this far so your probably thinking “How can I, a website owner with an RSS feed benefit from all this, after all aren’t these social networking sites the ones that are distracting my users?”

Well I and a few friends have developed a software package that enables you to create your own Facebook application in minutes which will give you the ability to get your RSS feed content into Facebook.

This is how it works, information directly from your website RSS feed and enable users to install your application and display RSS feed entries through their profile. Not only will this increase return rates from users with the application installed to your site, it will also spread the word to the users’ friends. As friends are normally interested in the same things this can be seen as a form of extremely cheap targeted advertising that has shown much better results than past methods. For more information we urge you to watch Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of facebook.com to talk more about how applications can help you boost traffic to your website.

Let me just leave you with some examples of this software in action. (You will need a Facebook account to view them)

As you can see they all look unique. We have had some really good feedback from our existing customers so please if you’re interested visit our website at rss2facebook.com or send us an email at enquiries@rss2facebook.com.

We can customize and install the application for you for a slightly increased fee. but there should be know need because the system comes with an easy step by step guide of how to install and modify your application to suite your needs. You really only need to change a couple of lines in notepad and spend about 5 minutes on Facebook to get your application up and running.

Thanks for your time and we hope to hear from some of you soon!
