Typical computer towers contain many common components such as the motherboard, power supply, and the hard drive. Many other parts are sometimes also contained like the floppy disk drive and optical drives as well as others. Depending upon the shape and the size of each tower, parts contained within may be placed differently in each one. However most floppy drives are usually placed somewhere near the front of the tower for better accessibility and most power sources are near the rear of the tower.
