A city full of traffic lights and cars. The cars are the electrical impulses inside the computer. If one of those traffic lights is faulty and shows the wrong color light at the wrong time, (or stops working completely and fails to show ANY color light), the cars in the city will likely crash into one another. A computer, likewise, will crash if any of the signals it is receiving or emitting are incorrect. Of course, while traffic lights change color only every few minutes, the corresponding "intersections" in a computer's CPU changes hundreds of millions of time ever second.
